Journal Entry
January 16th:
"During the ride from Nairobi to Naivasha, we witness a drastic change in landscape and land use. from dense slums to vast highlands to the riparian lands of Lake Naivasha. The wildlife at our new camp is very different from the wildlife we left in Nairobi. Piscivorous birds and hippopotamuses are our new neighbors. Not many boats are seen on this lake, only small motor boats for fishermen or tourists. Everyone around the lake (residents, flower farms, tourism) seems dependent on the lake and its variability
